Machine Details

For repair work, please give as much information as possible about the circumstances leading to the need for the repair as this will help our fault diagnosis. For example, a helpful description would be, "The engine tries to start, runs for a second or two then stops. It was working fine until I tipped my mower up to clean underneath".

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. We can collect lawnmowers, ride on mowers and all other garden machinery as well as delivering it back to you once the service or repair is complete. This is limited to the local areas around our depots and is subject to a nominal charge. Please click View Pricing at the top of the page for current charges.
No. If our technicians identify faults or damage that requires parts and labour outside of our usual thorough service, we will always contact you first for approval and to discuss options before going ahead with additional chargeable work.
Yes. We only ever use genuine parts in our workshops, except for rare circumstances where genuine parts are now obsolete. Using genuine parts is the best way to ensure the performance and longevity of your machine. Using non-genuine parts is a false economy and can lead to expensive repairs.
Our aim is to turn around service and repair work as quickly as possible. During our busiest times, normally starting November with our Winter Service Offer through to spring and early summer, we are exceptionally busy. After booking we encourage you to keep your machines and carry on using them (if required and where possible) until we contact you to call your machine in when we’re ready to carry out the work. This helps to maintain the efficient flow of work through our service department and allows us to turn around work as quickly as possible.
All our technicians are highly qualified in servicing and repairing all kinds of garden machinery. In addition, we regularly enrol in manufacturer training to maintain our high standards and ensure we provide the excellent service you rightly expect.
Yes. In most cases an extended warranty will be conditional on your machine having been serviced using genuine parts and in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
Service prices can be found by clicking View Pricing at the top of the page. You may also contact us on 07700 152220.
We would encourage you to make a booking first and wait for us to request your machine. We will do our best to accommodate “walk ins” but our volume of work and storage space constraints often mean that we cannot store your machine until we are ready to work on it.
You can either book online using the form on this page, call us on 07700 152220 or email csc@riponfarmservices.com.

We service and repair a wide range of garden machinery and professional groundscare equipment.

Please make your booking above or contact us by telephone or e-mail and we’ll let you know when we are ready for your machine.

On a daily basis we service and repair petrol and electric lawnmowers, ride-on mowers, chainsaws, hedgetrimmers, brushcutters, shredders, compact tractors, utility vehicles and lots more.

Regular servicing of your machinery will help keep it in good condition and is often a requirement of extended warranties but there will be times when a breakdown occurs. Whatever your needs, we are here to help.

Please note, the spring and summer months are our busiest time and will experience extended waiting times. In order to avoid the delays brought about by the rush in spring to have machinery serviced, we strongly recommend that service work (and repairs where possible) be carried out over winter so that your equipment is ready for the following season.

We regret to advise that we are unable to work on supermarket / DIY store own-brand machinery. In many cases the retailers of own-brand machinery do not support their products with spare parts availability.

Please avoid bringing your machine to us without booking first. We will be in touch when we are ready for your machine, at which point you may bring it to us or you can take advantage of our collection and return service for a nominal fee.
