Firstly, we want to take the time to understand your needs and wants so that we can recommend the right product for you. Once you’ve made your product choice we’ll then move on to the assembly and pre-delivery inspection phases before handing over your purchase.
Assembly of machines
All garden machinery and groundscare equipment arrives with us neatly packaged in a box or a crate in such a way as to minimise the size of the unit to be transported. Some of the equipment we sell requires very little set up work whilst other machines require whole sections to be assembled. This process can take anywhere from just a few minutes to several hours depending on the type of machine and level of disassembly in which any given manufacturer chooses to ship their product.
Our trained technicians will fully assemble your new machine so that you don’t have to do any assembly work yourself.
Once your machine has been assembled it will undergo a thorough pre-delivery inspection.
Pre-delivery inspection goes hand-in-hand with our assembly processes. This is where we confirm that your machine has been built and assembled correctly, both at the factory and during our final assembly work, ensuring that everything is operating as it should. Most manufacturers insist on a thorough pre-delivery inspection because they know, as well as we do, that garden machinery and groundscare equipment comes off production lines very quickly and, whilst there are strict quality controls in place, things do get missed at the factories. The last thing anybody wants is for you to purchase a piece of machinery that’s not quite right, which is where the pre-delivery inspection comes in.
We are looking to ensure that everything is assembled correctly, that the safety functions all work correctly and that the machine runs properly and efficiently. There is a whole host of items we check during a pre-delivery inspection to ensure that everything is just right.
Each manufacturer has their own pre-delivery inspection process that we follow and document so that when you take possession of your new machine it is ready to use. Although your machine will be ready to use, we always recommend that you read the operator’s manual first.
Once we’re happy that your product has passed its pre-delivery inspection, it’s then ready to be dispatched. Whether you’re collecting from one of our showrooms or are benefitting from our free local delivery service, you’ll always receive a proper handover from one of our team. During the handover we’ll run through the operation of the machine, basic maintenance and provide any necessary safety warnings that will allow you to get the most from your new machine in a safe way. We’ll also answer any questions that you might have.
Although we will provide a product handover, we strongly recommend that you read and understand the operator’s manual before using your new machine.
