The Stihl MH585 is a high performance tiller for working in larger allotments and gardens. The MH585 has a single speed forward drive and a single speed reverse drive.
The 32cm diameter tines cover a tilling width of 85cm and have been specially designed to turn over the soil efficiently. Crop protection discs are provided to help minimise damage to crops growing adjacent to the working area.
Power from the reliable and quiet Stihl Kohler XT675 OHV SC petrol engine is transferred via a worm gear drive to the tines.
Built into the handles is an anti-vibration system, which ensures operator comfort during use.
Thanks to the integrated wheels, transporting the tiller to and from the working area is easy. When you reach the working area, the wheels can be folded into their storage position allowing the integrated brake spur to control forward speed and digging depth. The brake spur has three depth settings and swivels through 180 degrees making it easier to operate in tight corners.
When the tilling is done, the cleaning position allows the tines to be removed easily for cleaning and refitting.
Transportation Wheels
The MH585 tiller features a wheel axle at the rear to make transportation easy. Once you reach the working area the wheels can be folded into their storage position.
Anti-Vibration system
For operator comfort the MH585 is built with an anti-vibration system in the handles. This reduced vibration allows for longer operation without discomfort.
Cleaning Position
Once you've finished tilling, the MH585's cleaning position allows the tines to be easily removed for cleaning, maintenance and refitting.
Adjustable Handlebar
The MH585 features a handlebar adjustment which allows you to operate the tiller from the side, avoiding standing on freshly tilled ground. Adjusting is easy and doesn't require any tools.
