The STIHL HTA160 is a battery powered, cordless pole pruner from the STIHL AP System and is ideal for professionals working in forestry, landscaping, and orchards. Fitted with a telescopic pole, it can quickly and easily be adjusted up to 405cm and is capable of pruning, trimming and maintaining branches up to 20cm in diameter. Featuring a powerful EC motor plus a lightweight and robust magnesium transmission. For optimum cutting performance, the HTA160 is fitted with a 3/8” P Picco Micro 3 (PM3) chain as standard.
The HTA160 is lightweight making maneuvering easy. It’s fitted with a sturdy branch hook too for gripping and removing loose cuttings. The control handle of the HTA160 has an LED display for convenient control of the pole pruner too.
The HTA160 comes with a protective foot as standard for protecting the motor casing from making contact with the ground. The air filter on the housing ensures that the engine is kept cool during work, improving the service life of the pole pruner.
The HTA160 has a total length of 285 cm to 405 cm. It also has a mounting point for the STIHL Smart Connector 2 A should you choose to add this on.
Battery Information:
The recommended battery for this pruner is the AP300S, which provides up to 70 minutes of run time. As part of the STIHL AP System, the HTA160 is compatible with the full range of AP batteries. Maximum working times are:
- AP20 - up to 27 minutes
- AP200S - up to 36 minutes
- AP30 - up to 67 minutes
- AP300S - up to 70 minutes
- AP500S - up to 80 minutes
