The STIHL KMA80R is a battery-powered KombiEngine in the AK System of garden tools, designed for domestic use. Powered by a 36-volt lithium-ion battery, the STIHL KMA80R is a quiet, efficient and powerful tool, capable of tackling a variety of garden tasks- whether it’s pruning, trimming, mowing, clearing or cutting! Compatible with all of the STIHL KombiTools (except FSB-KM and FSS-KM), attaching and changing tools is quick and easy. To add a tool, all you need to do is insert your desired tool into the shaft and tighten to secure it in place.
The STIHL KMA80R is fitted with a loop handle which has a quick-mounting system and a handle which can be adjusted to a comfortable position for the users height. The handle also makes tackling tasks on slopes, around trees or on uneven terrains even easier.
The KMA80R has a brushless EC motor with speed-adjustment on the control handle allowing 2 different speeds of operation. There is an ECO mode (level 1), for KombiTools suited to simple tasks such as trimming lawn edges, which entails lower energy consumption for an extended battery life. Level 2 is a full speed mode tailored to KombiTools suited to tasks that need more power, such as clearing leaves which requires extra battery energy.
STIHL recommend an AK30S battery for the KMA80R, though you can use any of the batteries in the AK range, however, working times will vary depending on which attachment you use with it. The AK30S battery will give you the longest work time but is the heaviest of the AK batteries.
The KMA80R is supplied with a basic harness as standard. KombiTools sold separately.
