The STIHL FSA80R is a cordless, battery powered grass trimmer designed for tackling tough cutting, mowing and clearing jobs in the garden. With low noise emissions, disturbing neighbors is not an issue.
The FSA80R is fitted with a loop style handle which has a quick-mounting system, meaning the position of the handle can be easily adjusted to suit the height of the user for a comfortable working position. This style of handle also makes mowing on slopes, around trees or on uneven terrains even easier
The FSA80R features a powerful brushless EC motor as well as speed adjustment controls on the handle which can be set to 2 different speeds depending on the task at hand. The ECO mode (level 1) is tailored for simple task such as trimming lawn edges, using less energy for an extended battery life. Full speed mode (level 2) has been designed for mowing thicker grass which requires more energy and power.
Supplied with a basic harness and the AutoCut 27-2 blade as standard, the FSA80R can also be fitted with other STIHL cutting tools such as the PolyCut, AutoCut, TrimCut or DuroCut tools.

The recommended battery for this product is the AK30, which provides up to 30 minutes of run time. As part of the STIHL AK System, the FSA80R is compatible with a selected range of AK batteries. Maximum working times are:
- AK10 - up to 12 minutes at low speed and up to 8 minutes at high speed
- AK20 - up to 25 minutes at low speed and up to 15 minutes at high speed
- AK30S - up to 30 minutes at low speed and up to 20 minutes at high speed
