Ideal for cutting larger areas of grass, the Mountfield 1538M-SD is a 38” (98cm) side discharge and mulching lawn tractor offering superior cutting performance.
The Mountfield 1538M-SD features 5 forward gears allowing you to select the most appropriate speed for the task at hand. If you get into a corner, you can easily select reverse gear and turn around.
The blades are engaged electronically via a switch on the dashboard. Once cutting is underway, the grass clippings are effortlessly discharged to the side of the mower or mulched. Mulching allows the grass to be cut into tiny pieces and returned to the ground as a fertilizer whilst leaving a finish that looks like the grass clippings have been collected. Changing between mulching and side discharge is quick and easy.
The height of cut is adjusted by a single lever offering cutting heights between 25 and 80mm. So, whether it is a lawn, orchard or roadside verge you are cutting, there will be a height of cut to suit.
When cutting is finished, a wash port allows grass clippings to be cleaned from the underside of the cutter deck without you ever needing to go near the blades.
