Mountfield have a long history of producing quality rear roller mowers and one of their latest models is the SP505R V which has a 19'' (48cm) width of cut.
The chassis of the SP505R V is a hybrid construction. The cutter deck is galvanised steel for a long life and the rear of the mower, where most strength is needed, is aluminium.
A self propelled drive system takes the strain of propelling the mower around the lawn. The drive speed is variable between 3 and 4.9 kilometres per hour.
Mountfield have fitted the Twinclip blade to the SP505R V. Rather than the usual two cutting edges, the Twinclip blade has four cutting edges. The first edge gives an initial reduction to the grass length and the second edge gives a fine finish at the desired height of cut which is set via a single lever offering eight positions between 13 and 65mm.
The Honda engine fitted to this mower is a very modern design and meets the latest noise and emissions standards. As with all Honda engines, the engine fitted to the SP505R V is easy to start.
The grass clippings can either be collected in the huge 80 litre grass bag or simply discharged from the rear of the mower to the ground in areas where collection is not required.
Adjustable handles mean that operators of varying heights can easily be accommodated and a vibration control system ensures that this mower is very comfortable to use.
The Mountfield SP505R V comes with a domestic use warranty of 5 years on the mower and 2 years on the engine.
Wash Port
The integrated wash port is an easy and convenient way to keep your mower clean.
