This is a genuine OEM engine‑brake (also “operator-presence / engine-stop”) cable for selected Hayter Harrier 41 and Motif lawnmowers — part number HY412007.
Safety & engine‑stop control — The brake cable connects the handlebar “dead‑man” lever (operator‑presence lever) to the engine‑stop/brake mechanism. When the lever is released, the cable activates the brake or kill‑switch to shut off the engine and blade. This ensures the mower stops quickly and safely if the operator lets go, minimising risk of accidental run‑on.
