The MSA 300 is one of Stihl’s most powerful cordless chainsaws, designed for demanding professional use. Three available operating modes enables battery efficiency across a range of applications such as felling, delimbing and cutting to length.

As a comparative for petrol driven chainsaws, the MSA 300 generates a mechanical output of 2.5kW.

The Stihl MSA 300 is available with a 14” (35cm), 16” (40cm) or an 18” (45cm) guide bar. Please note, cutting length will always be a little shorter than the bar length because of the way guide bars are measured. The difference between the guide bar length and cutting length varies by chainsaw model.

As with all Stihl products, the MSA 300 is packed with features:

• Ematic chain lubrication system which reduces the chain oil usage by up to 50% compared to conventional lubrication systems
• Integrated air-cooling filters to keep components cool for maximum lifespan
• Adjustable oil pump to allow accurate metering of chainsaw oil
• Three speed chain settings – 20, 24 and 30 meters per second

The MSA 300 is part of Stihl’s AP range. It is designed to be used with the AP 500S battery. The working time of this battery will be between 20-44 minutes depending on what setting the saw is used on.

Intuitive Controls with Bright LED Display

The MSA 300 features intuitive controls and a bright LED display. There are three speed settings to maximise battery life when completing less intensive tasks. The LED display gives you notifications on chain oil level, chain brake position, temperature and power settings.

Fleece Filter

The fleece filter in the new MSA 300 guarantees consistent performance. The filters very finepored material keeps even very fine dust and dirt away from the power electronics and electric motor to prevent overheating. The filter can easily be cleaned for a long service life.

Quick Release Oil Tank Cap

Adding chain oil is quick and easy with Stihl’s quick release tank cap, without the need for any tools.
