Replacing the AL 500, the AL 501 charger is a new fast charger for the STIHL AP System batteries with a modernised design. A key benefit of the AL 501 Charger is a new situational charging feature, allowing users to adapt the charge speed of the AP 200 S and AP 300 S batteries via the STIHL Connected App.
The AL 501 can be free standing or wall mounted and a Velcro tape helps keep the mains cable tidy.
Situational Charging
The charging speed of individual batteries can be changed between gentle, normal and rapid in the STIHL Connected App. Gentle charging benefits battery health and reduces the load on the electrical circuit, ideal for overnight charging. Rapid charging is available for demanding applications where a boost is needed, such as charging during working breaks.
For non-Connected users, batteries will be charged at normal speed by default.
AP Batteries Charge Times with the AL 501 Charger:
- AP 200 battery 25 minutes to 80% charge and 35 minutes to 100% charge
- AP 200 S battery 30 minutes to 80% charge and 45 minutes to 100% charge
- AP 300 S battery 30 minutes to 80% charge and 45 minutes to 100% charge
- AP 500 S battery 40 minutes to 80% charge and 55 minutes to 100% charge
AR Batteries Charge Times with the AL 501 Charger:
- AR 2000 L battery 120 minutes to 80% charge and 160 minutes to 100% charge
- AR 3000 L battery 180 minutes to 80% charge and 230 minutes to 100% charge
